Nope. Russia does not have its hockey federation’s logo on its jersey, so they have no need and are not going to be redesigning their jerseys for the upcoming Olympics.
The issue is that both Canada and the USA have to release their new jersey for the 2010 Olympics. Hockey Canada’s 13-year-old logo on its jersey is a violation, a breach of the Olympic charter that forbids sports federations from having their logos on Olympic jerseys. In the past, the IOC has given a waiver for the Team Canada jerseys to be worn. But the IOC has clamped down on this part of the charter before the Beijing Olympics.
