My girlfriend owns a bar and we are talking about doing an American Idol party for the finale. Looking for some creative menu ideas, etc. (Backstage BBQ, Idol Icees, etc)

Sounds like fun! You should definitely have karaoke… maybe after you watch the finale, or before? Maybe a lookalike contest (anyone who looks like this season’s contestants on Idol) that you could advertise beforehand, and whoever wins could get a gift certificate to the bar? That would bring back return business.
For your menu you could also use the names of contestants, judges, or previous winners… ie a drink called the “Malakar Mixer” or a sandwich called the “Simon Special.”

I was suggest have you friends sing to Karaoke, and have a panel of judges critique the performances…should work out really well if you have lively friends!
you should do american idol auditions, and have some friends be the judges, and some sing, and then u can start having competitions to see who is the next idol
