In theory yes, in reality no…. Businesses move costs around different subsidurary companies so even if the parent company os losing money they simply shift that to another company they own so that it appears they themselves sare making money. Best example…Banks swapping debts!

This “diseased ridden maggot” does not want you to forsake your Gov’t controlled health care. I simply do not want it forced on myself and my fellow citizens to please Collectivist around the globe.

Yes, in reality! If I own a lemonade stand and I spend $40 on lemonade, cups, and ice, sell 100 cups of lemonade at 50 cents each, I’ve only made a $10 profit.
    PROFIT ($10)=REVENUE ($50) – EXPENSES ($40)

Debt swaps are an example of Risk/Reward, not the aforementioned “theory”. Again, thank you for showing your economic illiteracy. A business may shift costs, but it still has to ensure revenue covers those costs.

“But the government did provide the info based on WHO guidelines”

Thank you for proving my point. The WHO does not have the man-power nor the resources to INDEPENDENTLY judge such information. Infant Mortality is a great example. The standard for determining live birth (as with life expectancy) VARIES for every country. If we’re not all using the SAME STANDARDS how can one definitively prove such statistics are accurate, when the methodology is inconsistent?

Look, if people can’t pay for health care because it’s waaaay to costly then it’s stupid to say that you’ve got good health care.

If you checked the facts you would realize that your health care system is broken.

But instead of looking at the facts you choose to ignore them.

    37th. There.

    Reality isn’t optional.

Once again, no one in America has ever been denied care because they could not afford it. That is a FACT you have repeatedly chosen to ignore. Americas HC system does need reform, not a massive bureaucracy.

    Posted August 23, 2010 at 5:28 pm | Permalink

The reason its broken is because of too much taxes, and the FED is devalueing the dollar by constantly printing new money. Besides, this bill is gonna give illegals free health insurance, paid from your taxes. FREE only to those that dont work, paid by those that do. Higher taxes means less money for people already struggling. This is gonna have a domino effect until everything is government run. Healthcare bill is the communist approach to being offered, “an offer you can’t refuse.”

    “37th. There.”

AGAIN, We’re ranked 37th because the WHO relies on nations to provide their OWN statistics. There is no comprehensive formula. Take Infant Mortality rates, for example, the standard for determining live birth VARIES for each country. If we’re not all using the SAME STANDARDS how can one definitively prove such statistics are accurate, when the methodology is inconsistent?

Yes, people get denied care because they can’t afford it. People are turned away from hospitals when they can’t pay the bill, thrown out on the street. That is not a fact, and putting FACT in bold doesn’t make it any more true.

I guess this is a clear cut case of “When it’s negative, doubt the results” eh?

It’s funny how much you try to attack that number without having actual substance. Even if it’s a whooping 20 points higher it’s still way too low. And please don’t tell me you honestly think America is number 1 on that list…

But hey if you really feel the need, go ahead and defend the “no” position that won’t get anything done.

“It’s funny how much you try to attack that number without having actual substance”

I’ve provided plenty of substance for every argument I’ve made, you’ve repeatedly chosen to ignore facts and regurgitate the same talking points each time I prove you wrong. You’ve yet to prove me wrong on anything or provide substance of your own.

I’ve already stated that Americas HC needs reform however, it doesn’t need a massive bureaucracy.

The only thing you did was trying to distort the facts like a typical republican.

37th whether you like it or not. Your opinion about it doesn’t change it.

And that “massive” bureaucracy you talk about… Another random statement without substance. The reason the health care bill can compete is because of much less overhead costs. Please… do your homework.

“You have made me see the error of my right wing ways. ”

    Glad I could help.

Nothing wrong with the concept of right wing idea’s though. The problem is that the whole republican party has become a major joke.

It’s the result of taking things like “less government” as a prescriptive rather than a descriptive.

The moment you base your opinions on a simple policy rather than judging things by its merits you’ve lost intellectually.

I was being sarcastic. Thank you for showing how much of a pretentious douche bag you are. Your non-arguments and lack of facts and logic only work on useful idiots like yourself who gladly sacrifice freedom for security.

    Posted August 23, 2010 at 11:44 am | Permalink

Seriously, it didn’t cross your mind once that I was sarcastic too?

As for non arguments, a round of applause to yourself. Calling people with other points of view “idiots” and saying something about “sacrifice freedom for security” when we’re talking about health care…
Do you work as a parrot full time or is being a retard just a hobby during the weekend?

Just because you don’t understand someone else’s point of view doesn’t make it illogical, it makes you slow.

The American public is not as stupid and mentally lazy as you think… coughfoxcough

i haven’t seen the young terrorist comment on the terror trial in new york, but I am sure all of you followers of TYT believe these men deserve a trial. I hope you will someday realize what your idiotology is doing to this country.. I know this comment is off subject, but I did a search and apparently if there is something that really matters liberals like TYT don’t say a word because they know their views are wrong.

Also, please get your own country if you are a scared little chicky..”Oh Im so scared of the terrorist I keep shitting in my pants” The people of NY want to try these killers right here where they did their crime.
