How can I go voluntary to become a carry-torch of the Olympic Games of 2010?

I heard from someone that they need volunteers, and it sounds like fun! do you have to be canadian to be a torch bearer? where would i sign up for that? i looked on the Olympics website, but they only have links to enter into a contest.

    This is the official website for nominating yourself to be a 2010 Olympic torch bearer. There is no guarantee that you will originally be “pre-selected” by the organizers and no official criteria has been listed for those who eventually do run the torch. Just because you sign up does not guarantee that you will run the torch.
